The Mount Baker Tudor

This 1930s Mount Baker Tudor was thoughtfully restored to honor its original character while reimagining the home for the way our clients live today. From the very beginning, every decision was made with deep respect for the home's history and a commitment to the craftsmanship that defines its era.

The original fireplace, with its beautiful handmade tile accent, was carefully restored as a centerpiece of the home's story. Spaces that had been divided over the years into separate apartments were reconnected and reimagined, bringing the home back to its intended flow. The top level was expanded to create a serene primary suite, complete with a spa-inspired bath, a spacious walk-in closet, and a dedicated office with a loft above—a quiet retreat designed for both rest and focus.

On the main level, the kitchen and dining room were opened up into a gracious, light-filled space made for gathering, flowing effortlessly out to an expansive deck overlooking the backyard. The lower level was reimagined as a welcoming everyday entry, featuring a mudroom, kitchenette, flexible living space, and a richly finished Venetian plaster shower that brings warmth and texture to the room.

From restoring original details to crafting entirely new spaces, this project reflects the close collaboration, careful attention to detail, and lasting craftsmanship that define every Rhodes Construction home—where the past is honored and the future is built with care.
